I appreciate the time in this video the devs took to discuss building, as it is one of the primary reasons I play Conan Exiles. It showed they have a real vested interest in building in the game. I'm surprised then that after all these years, we still don't have wall pieces with large windows and half walls. These are fundamental to any in-game building, and players have been asking for them for years and years. Last night I spent a couple of hours being frustrated (once again) at trying to mix-n-match different door wall pieces with different fence foundation pieces (because they mostly don't work together within the same set), and found myself, again, asking why.

I am so glad that moving forward build sets will be in a more solid form.
The Turanian Tent expansion was such a painful victim of this. So gorgeous, yet so painfully limited and incomplete.
I would happily acquire a finished version that Includes full "roofing" so that we can make tents at least as flexible as the Flotsam ones.
Also, the Kambujan teaser is greatly appreciated and anticipated.

We want things to work as their design implies (I.E. like sleeping furs working as beds) and be useful throughout the game experience (I.E. The Aesir Blacksmith doesn't make Epic Items...). And especially want items to be tradeable so a player economy can thrive. I.E. Allow people to trade items they make with people who do NOT own them.

Don't belittle yourself, you did great job of asking the right questions. It did seem like they were just a little bit unwilling to go into to many details on some subjects (that is understandable though)

Personally I would like to see some parity between build sets, as there are some sets that seem to get more block variations than others, and some sets that have had almost no love at all. Also a Siptah Stygian build set would be awesome.

I'd also desperately like to see some additional outfits and Armours added to the Aquillonian and Argossean themes, as well as some love for the Darfari

This was a great interview. I enjoyed the insight into how the art team thinks. In my opinion, from the server admin side, the cultural sets work great for admin builds to build content because they are far to fancy for my personal build taste, but most look amazing in the correct context. As a player and an "exile" I prefer immersive realistic builds and build sets so my favorite Expanded set has been the sandstone/rough timber and would love to see the other base sets given this treatment (i.e. stone brick, reinforced brick and insulated wood.) With the amazing mod Emberlight you gain the ability to change the color palate for these set which make them usable anywhere on the map. As a side note, I can't ask or beg enough for funcom to add 1/2 walls to their build sets, moders have done it, but for me, that means not being able to easily use the vanilla build sets.

please PLEASE, give us a update to the khitan set.
if any building piece needs the yamatai and argossean treatment, its the first one. you have so many amazing ideas to draw from rise of the godslayer.

Great interview. Depending on the story and situation, Conan wore everything from a loincloth to full plate armor, so the armor sets do make sense in the world of lore.

Nice interview. One thing I often don't like about the building sets is how they add these very distinct and noticeable decorations/shiny emblems, etc, that overly stand out and are repetitive in designs, such as the wolf's head in Nemedian. Feels like they add these to make them feel more "premium" to get people to buy them, but they actually detract from their usability.

I wish there was a new T1 and T2 set, such as a grey branch and green tree frond roof aesthetic for T1 and perhaps a grey stone and mossy roof for T2 respectively. And maybe a new ship themed T3 set that has proper sail deco with building pieces like bowed ramps for the boat underside, and proper cabin window walls, and canon and net ladder placeables.

Great Interview, I really wish for more indepth lore expansions.
There is one thing I'd like for transportation, everyone talks about Camel mounts, Elephant mounts but what about Chariots?
A Stygian Chariot would be kinda badass, make a boss have one and unlock a recipe to craft it after that.

The lag in the game after the age of heroes update is so bad you can't defend yourself our your base nothing else is as important if you can't even protect yourself or go in and out your base nothing loads up you can't even see the ping on the sever anymore or how many players are actively playing on that server something needs to be fixed

I really hope we see neo-Atlantean, neo-Lemurian, and neo-Acheronian ancient sets. Similarly, it would cool to see a Zamorian and Black Kingdoms set. Some Darfari placeables and maybe even a tent. (Oh, and cushier would be cool)
