Conan at the 97th Academy Awards opening as host: "good evening, ladies and gentlemen, let's make arrested development. The movie"

Arrested is one of those shows that when I rewatch it I notice seemingly new jokes constantly. It always somehow feels like there are new parts in the episodes. Bateman's comedic performance on that show is masterful.

I am just happy that someone is talking about arrested development for more than 5 minutes...
One of the greatest comedy show

Lovely and long overdue praise. Bateman is brilliant in A.D.

"Her?" running gag throughout the show solidifies how casually funny Jason Bateman is.

Yet another reason to adore Conan. Ive probably seen AD around 75 times and it is SO freaking layered!

Community and Arrested Development both on another level.

Before Conan said when he’s blue, I was thinking about Tobias “bluing” himself 😂

Michael Bluth was only the straight man compared to his family; with normal people, he was the weird one.

I liked the description "essential". I always felt there was always such an honesty to Michael's coping with the cast and shenanigans.

Arrested Development would be in my entertainment vault if I had to take only 5 shows on an island for the rest of my life.

I need to see Tobias in a scene with Matt Damon as Micheal. I can see Tobias constantly giving Matt pointers 😂

You can’t do arrested development without Lucille (rip Jessica Walter)

What I love about Michael's character is while he is a straight man, is that he is on many levels batshit and not a great person, just not as much as the rest of the cast

I watched Arrested Development for the first time 12 years ago. I was 12/13 then. I've rewatched it multiple times over the years, and every time Im a bit older, even though I know exactly what's going to happen, I discover new jokes. Truly the most well written television comedy.

Not just a strait man in the show, he elevates the straight man into being just as funny and surprising as the rest of the gang

Jason Bateman is a triple threat and he makes it look easy. Everybody forgets this guy was a child actor. He not only survived, he also survived being a tween idol, and was also able to reinvent himself twice....in comedy (Arrested Development, Horrible Bosses, etc.) and again as a dramatic actor (The Ozarks).

"There's got to be a better way to say that" .... He delivered that line _perfectly_

As a father myself, hearing Conan and Jason talking about their kids and being so self-aware about their roles and influence as dads in their kids' lives resonated so much with me. Two das just talking about their love for their children. Love these moments of just honest conversations on this podcast. It is healing. The silliness is just the cherry on top. Bateman and O' Brien. Two of my favorite people just being themselves! Please come back soon, Jason!
