My Golden Rule: Play FOR fun. Play TO win. If you only have fun when you're winning, you shouldn't be playing the game.
I still think you should try to win, but you shouldn't care whether or not you do. Just enjoy yourself while playing.

Bro the amount of fun I've had in ARAM/Unranked games with friends and weird off-meta builds, dumb plays and highlight shit, I'm convinced that you have to be a specific type of person to play ranked and have fun.

The fun is there to be had, you just need to try different things and sometimes not give two shits what your teammates think.
