As a northerner who married a southerner, if I showed this to my wife I'd be sleeping on the couch. So if I'm inevitably gonna wind up on the couch, I better make it worth my while. So instead of just showing her this song, I'm patiently waiting for our daughter to start talking and singing, and I'm gonna teach this song to her. And then I'll wait for her to sing it around my wife. Its gonna be so great I won't even care I'm sleeping on the couch.

"I wish I was in Baltimore" - the first and last time anyone said that in human history

Remember southerners, this isn't to shame you but to shame the Confederates. Sing louder

Finally a version that hasnt had all its comments disabled. There used to be a ton of copies of this song on youtube but the right's been scrubbing them. Keep this song up and those comments on boys! Damnation on the traitor nation!

I love how this song doesnt even have any sembelance of pretense. Like it literally just blasts straight into calling them all traitors and that just hits hard lol

I like to refer to America as “The Union” because be honest it’s a way cooler name.

I'm not even American but I would gladly wave an American flag while singing this song at the top of my lungs in New Orleans.

You can like this song as a southerner! As long as you don’t have a confederate flag bumper sticker on your truck!

A southerner singing a yankee parody of a southern song written by a yankee. We're hitting levels of irony that shouldn't even be possible.

I just learned that Mexico took in runaway slaves and gave them freedom and citizenship and refused to give them back saying "in Mexico there are no slaves, only Mexicans" (and mexico abolished slavery in 1810)
so i can sing this loud and proud

I'm a Southern born, but don't consider myself a southerner at all. My ancestors were from Tipperary, Ireland, and my other side from Albania, and my Dad is from Long Island. I currently live on Long Island. Sure smells like NORTHERN spirit!
