Repair small dents on your car with MOTIP. This video will show you how to fix dents with car paint using MOTIP products. All steps:
Before use, carefully read the directions on the packaging and act accordingly. Keep in mind that the drying time depends on the ambient temperature, the humidity of the air and the thickness of the lacquer applied. The aerosols should have room temperature. Always shake the aerosols before use and spray a sample. Before applying the next layer, again shake the aerosol.
Step 1: Remove any rust or old paint layers by sanding the surface.
Step 2: Clean and degrease the surface to be treated with a degreaser.
Step 3: Mix the polyester putty and apply in the desired layer thickness. Let it dry for about 2 hours.
Step 4: Apply a thin layer of the sanding key aid and sand the surface again. Clean the surface again with a degreaser.
Step 5: Mix the fine putty and apply the desired layer thickness. Let it dry for about 1 hour.
Step 6: Sand the transitional area once more and clean again.
Step 7: Tape off an ample area around the surface.
Step 8: Apply the filler in several thin coats and let it dry for about 2 hours.
Step 9: Apply a thin layer of the sanding key aid and lightly wet sand the surface.
Step 10: Clean and degrease the surface again.
Step 11: Use the MOTIP Colourguide app to find the right colour paint for your car.
Step 12: Apply the lacquer in several thin layers and let it dry well for about 2 hours.
Step 13: Apply two overlapping layers of clear lacquer, use spot blender if needed. Let it dry thoroughly.
Step 14: Take off the tape.
