I have a 2017 S90 and I'd say that city safety has engaged a few times and probably saved me from a few crashes. The structure rigidity is awesome

Volvo was the creator of the 2 part seatbelt we have today . And they were so kind not to patent it so every car brand can get safer seatbelts so nice of them

I never thought I'd end up owning one of these but look different to everything else on the road.

Now i see why Volvo is expensive than other cars, thanks ncap for make those safety test. But we can't forget the safe driving too to get safer roads for all of us, drivers, paxs and pedestrians.

Great to see them testing out the crash test equipment like this. I didn't think it would hold up.

They should test the collision mitigation: uncover all the safety avoidance sensors and raise the speed so the crash is unavoidable. Would be awesome to see what it could do

why aren't tests done at 80-100km/h? 50km/h is residential speeds for most places in canada (besides 40km/h in school zones) but don't most crashes often happen at higher speeds than 50? (i.e. bigger roads where the chances are higher)

Interesting that they fitted bowers and Wilkins to crash cars...
