Learn to swim by first learning to become balanced.
If a swimmer is not balanced at the surface, then some proportion of propulsion is used to stay at the surface rather than propelling forward.
If you can learn to push and glide, your swimming journey will be a safe and enjoyable journey.

To add the kick, use the leg extension learned in the push and glide. Move the legs from the quads. The kick should pass evenly up and down, using a 50/50 mix of air and water at the feet. If your torso wobbles when kicking, your kick is moving too much water. The kick is either too big or too fast. You are always safer to reduce the size of the kick, using the quads whilst maintaining speed.

Hi, Its been just 5 days since I started to learn swimming, my trainer used to take me with little deep water, whenever I try to push and glide, I'm feeling scared as I could not balance whenever I tried to recover from gliding, please explain how do we overcome from that
