1. Arrive on the island, talk to Tom Nook | Receive and Place Tent
2. Help Neighbors place their tents (or not) | Other Villagers move onto the island
3. Gather 10 tree branches and six fruit and give them to Tom Nook | Name Island/Sleep
4. Speak to Tom Nook on Day 2 | Get NookPhone and Nook Miles App
5. Craft Flimsey Fishing Rod | Get Flimsy Bug Net (and a few other things unlocked)
6. Craft Flimsey Bug Net | Start Bug and Fish Collecting
7. Give Tom Nook 5 Total Bugs and/or Fish: Unlock Blathers Tent, Place Tent on Island
8. Talk to Blathers next day | Get Vaulting pole and Shovel
9. Donate 15 Creatures to Blathers | Unlock Museum Build
10. Talk to Tom for Museum Ceremony after Museum fully built
11. Pay off initial loan of 5000 NookMiles
12. Take another loan of 98k Bells from Tom Nook for House Build | Unlock Mystery Island Tours, NookMiles+
13. Talk to Timmy/Tommy, collect all resources for NooksCranny build | Place Nooks Cranny
14. Talk to Tom Nook | Get First Bridge DIY Kit | Get all resources and place bridge
15. Talk to Tom Nook | Get 3 House Plots and Craft all 18 items for the houses
16. Take fencing and improve island a little bit to attract the 5th villager
17. Upgrade Resident Services Building | Get Campsite from Tom Nook | Build and Place
18. Wait a couple days, talk to campsite villager, invite to move onto island
19. Get more House plots for 10k bells each (only need 8, can go to max of 10, see quick like #2 and #3 below)
20. Talk with Isabelle often and improve island to 3 stars ( see quick link #3 below)

I’ve started playing acnh since December and this video has been a great help! my first 2 villagers were Antonio and Mira! I’ve already built nook’s cranny, a bridge, unlocked ladders, decorated 3 homes, and my museum is being built! yesterday I finished decorating plot 1 and today my new villager named anchovy moved in! I’m hoping for 2 new villagers to move in tmr and for the museum to finish tmr as well!

I've had this game for little over a year and I am still learning new things. I learned that you don't need to get the museum upgraded to a building if you don't want to. You just won't be able to move it so you'd have to build around it if that's the case.

Been playing consistently since the game's launch. But this was fun to watch. Sweet nostalgia from the early days of just getting started. It felt like a grand adventure, starting life on a remote island with no infrastructure. It was your land to tame. I miss the excitement of those early days, almost nothing in the catalog, not sure what new tasks would be waiting, and so much potential. I didn't do too much to alter the landscape either. I see so many videos of people remaking their whole island, but I'm happy to have my villager living in a tropical paradise. pretty much all civilization is on the southern third of the island. Past the rivers it's just trees and weeds. I did build a small farm and even way in the back put some excavated ruins and a dungeon entrance.
And my first two villagers were Mac and Tammy. They still live on my island today. I just updated their homes is all.
