It is worrying how often I hear this with leopard geckos and other reptiles.

Believe it or not, when I was veterinary technician in the army, I was explaining to a young couple who just arrived in Okinawa that unlike army veterinary clinics in CONUS, we operated a full service clinic and could spay, or nueter their pure bred dogs since they didn't plan on breeding them. The wife looks at me with disgust and said the exact same thing. The look on her husband's face was priceless. You could see the high expectations this guy had for their future children started dropping.

I keep 3 females together in a 55 gallon they are always sleeping on top of each other and they have 4 hides and plenty of climbing opportunities I've kept them together for 4 years and never had an issue

I had two birds and we kept them together and they were brother and sister and they had an egg and their baby is my favorite bird

I 100% agree like the only time any kind of reptiles should be housed together is when you’re breeding them and it’s only for a brief period of time; but of course you know already that soo 😅

Dude one time I put the crickets in my lizards cage and they got behind the foam wall and I had to take it out and pick out the crickets one by one and now at the top corner of the foam wall there's a hole. (Love the videos by the way just subscribed)

I am sorry to say but animals will inbreed more readily than you would especially when given no other prospects. Don't risk it.

Someone one in my bus knew that I liked leopard gecko’s and told me their cousin had 4 leo’s in the same cage…. he said it was “fine” bc they were sleeping together 😑

I have a couple geckos that Cohab but they’re not opposite gender….thats wild 😂. I have two males that have been together since they were hatchlings (mainly cause their momma wasn’t supposed to have eggs but she surprised me with hiding them then boom the babies appeared I rescued her and didn’t know her back story i didn’t know she was expecting)
