I did a factory reset of my TV. I have just one app installed, YouTube and it still says it needs to restart to free up memory.
Now, I bought my TV for £1000 6yrs ago and it has never had an issue till recently.
This makes me think that a software update is probably the result. For other people who may use several apps and the browser, the out of memory message may be accurate, but it doesn't seem plausible for me.

I did all that still saying the say thing" all will restart to free up memory." It does it every 30 seconds. I can no longer watch TV. Bought this tv 55" web is curve front for over $1200. This didn't start happening until a couple of months ago. I'm not about to buy another TV if that's what KG is forcing ppl to do. Had this TV for about 6 yrs.

UPDATE! I bought a 128gig flash drive and moved all the apps to it. It has worked with no problems.

deleting cache etc or is not enough due to apps continous updates, but is there any way how to EXPAND LGtv's memory? Thanks

this didn't help. I have a 2017/2018 tv and this just started in January. Now it is multiple times a day. I also have deleted all apps and my cable box is the only input to the the tv. Any other suggestions? what if i turn off wifi?

did not work for me. I just installed the youtube app, plays until an ad comes on.. comes up with the error after. (P.S music in the back ground is VERY distracting when trying to learn something)

POS tv. Just doing the same. Don’t let me do anything. Free memory message every 6sec. Cable, hdmi, YouTube. Nothing works. I followed the instructions (which was really hard to do. Only a few secs to move the cursor) still the same.

Bought LG LF6500 3D TV 5 years ago. Reset the TV to factory settings and updated only Youtube app. Still facing the issue. LG is forcing me to buy another TV or Google is. In any case, I need to buy Firestick or Google Home or whatever and make the TV a dumb TV from smart TV.
