I'm sure the tv parents were probably nicer to their tv children. Just as their tv children were probably nicer with their tv parents then they were with their real at home parents

It might have helped if she could have brought the writers home. One problem with TV children is some can be smart alecks. In real life they could get hurt talking like that, especially to a parent. What if all problems could be solved in 30 minutes, including commercials? Even crime dramas solve cases in days or even less. In real life most would take weeks.
