Yes. The calf represents power. Moses is away with God and is learning about what to say to the people. with no attention paid to them directly, they slip into the self and create what they desire. They use the power of life given by God to worship their own work. This is signified in the gold used. Moses makes them grind the gold down and eat it. This signifies breaking down false knowledge by eating it and getting it out of your system. They were not eating the fruit of good knowledge of God. Power is given to the mind so that it can think. God then imparts knowledge to the mind which we accept as our truth and it is memorised. The mind here requires a visual interpretation of the truth as a focal point. what is seen is true. Moses is the focal point through which God delivers information to the collective mind. This is represented by Aaron. lower thought levels are represented by the herds etc or followers.

It's so easy to get lost in this human life but i've come to the conclusion that it's supposed to be that way. Every single one of us is supposed to get lost many many times and then every time find the way back to God and the realization that every path leads back home, always.
