LASD Detective Dies After Suffering Medical Emergency While Driving | Carson

LASD, CHP & LACoFD responded to a report of a traffic collision (LACo.FD w/ Battalion Chief: Standard response for officer involved traffic collisions.)

Per witnesses a large LASD presence followed the ambulance to a local hospital.

Per CHP CAD #02597 the vehicle involved was a county vehicle, the log also stated possible 1144.

LASD officials on scene declined to comment, one deputy confirmed off camera that the vehicle involved was a sheriff vehicle.

LASD declined to state if there were other vehicles involved.

The possible LASD vehicle was the only vehicle on scene.

Heavy rain could be seen in the video.

So he wasn't wearing a seat-belt when he had an heart attack? What killed him? The car crash or the heart attack? 1144 just means possible fatality.

If he had been a house painter, or a mechanic, would we have been made aware of those facts? And, would there have been a large number of LASD vehicles following the ambulance? 🤔
