Did you know in Zootopia… Originally, the film had a different hero than Judy Hopps. At first, the movie starred Nick Wilde, but test audiences had a hard time connecting with him, so they changed the story.

The story was that predators had collars that would shock them when they got too excited (happy, sad, mad, etc) and it was to keep pray safe so they wouldn’t hurt people. Nick made a theme park where you could take your collar off and be free. Honestly better story if u ask me.

Also the story was about oppression cause all the predators where forced to wear shock collars. And in an even earlier draft it was about a spy male bunny and a female polar fox.

Yeah this is because the audience wanted to be for the city, Nick had a cynical attitude about the city, so they switched the roles, Judy was the alt protagonist in that version. I listened the the commentary cuz I'm a sad furry
