I'm a minimalist kind of guy. The lack of gaudy colors and stitching is one of my top likes, not dislikes. That's why I like the leather interior. If you get the cloth seats in the Pro 4X it comes with red stitching and red highlights in the doors of the truck. I drove one and the seat height is fine for 5'11". I like a mid-size truck because they are so much better off road than a full size. They also fit in my garage.

You give the truck praise for being an “inexpensive alternative” and then complain about the quality of the floor mats 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nissans seats use a NASA technology inspired design called zero gravy seats meaning they’re designed to have no pressure points on the body which also reduced fatigue when driving long periods of time! They’re great

6’3 all torso and I fit fine in mine. I prefer all blacked out interior. Colors don’t age well. Seems like something a young adult would prefer though and I get it. Truck feels like it’s built like a mini tank. Love the heavier hydraulic power steering and the motor without turbos and batteries.

I'm a little disappointed in your dislike #3. As a "truck guy" you should know that tires don't go straight up and down. They tilt as they articulate. The stock tires don't rub the fender trim when flexing. TFL did an off road review showing it articulating. Putting larger tires on this truck would probably require a lift though.

Picked up my Frontier Pro4X in July. So far I'm very happy with it. Am not regretting my choice at all.

I have had my 2022 sv for a xouple months now and i have found it to be quite capable. I am averaging 21-22 mpg very consistently. And find it is not lacking in the power dept. Good rig for under 39k and comfortable to drive. The only thing that i was suprised was how heavy the steering felt at first. But it has gotten better, or i have grown use to it, after the 1st 1k miles . Good review Sir thanks

Great review. I'm actually looking at this vs the Chevy Colorado. IMO, none of the five "hates" are deal stoppers; at least for me. I currently have a 2012 Frontier in the SV trim and never, ever had a problem. Perhaps the main reason why I may go back to Nissan.

Wife's regularly getting 23 with her 22. My 13 Gen 2 Frontier get's 15 MPG But it lasted the loan has 0 rust 175.000 miles never once been in for repair other then consumables. Great little trucks.

I've had my SV Frontier for 6 months now and I don't regret It at all, smoothest riding truck and not that bad on gas at all!

A full size truck as personal vehicle in cities is tough to own. Tough to park and navigate. Midsize trucks are where it’s at.

my 22 frontier gets 25 mpg avg highway, and sometimes 27, and once a 28 mpg. 2 wheel drive version. Keep the throttle changes light, and keep the throttle steady. If any doubters out there I posted it on youtube shorts. This new truck is amazing especially with these high gas prices.

I bought the 2021 Frontier with the new engine and the new reansmission. I love this truck. I get 23 and 18 miles per gallon and I really do not mind. I really think that the vehicle is perfect even with the old styling. Go Frontier!!

Nissan does offer orange stitching on some pro 4x models, seats, steering wheel and shifter and possibly on the dash, as far as wheel clearance, most people will either get a leveling kit or a 2 inch lift which will give you plenty room for bigger tires and clearance

I’m a 6-month Pro-4x owner. My likes are the ride, Fender stereo, there’s not 6 million on the road, low end torque, styling, simplicity. The bad are cruise control. It’s super poorly calibrated, hits 5500rpm to gain 4 mph or even on a slight incline. The leather. Don’t bother getting it. It’s 95% rubbery vinyl with tiny butt and lower back patches. It’s sticky when it’s hot, and there is no cooling feature. The defrost is LOUD on anything but the lowest two settings. The seat may work well for some, but it’s “front hinged”, meaning it does NOT rise at the front when you try to raise the seat, only the back. If it doesn’t provide enough thigh support if you have long calves when you test drive it, it never will. The back of my 2019 Tacoma had more room in the back, and had a less upright seating position. Otherwise super nice truck……

Thanks for a good review. It is a truck and while better gas mileage would be great, it is comparable to this market segment. None of the dislikes are an issue for me. The new styling is fresh and long overdue. I like it. I'll be going from a sedan to this if I don't change my mind in the next year.

I owned the previous-generation frontier. I sold it because the seat comfort was terrible. It had these weird ridges that ran across the bolsters. I sat in a new fFontier today and it felt much better.

Well, it is best to look at all the midsize trucks in person at all these things before you buy. The Ford Ranger has a 4 cylinder so it should have better milage, as for fancy interior details this is a truck not a BMW . My brother bought this Nissan Frontier crew cab in blue and is picking it up this week April 2022. We both took a test drive in it and looked it over and we see no problems it is just a good all around truck. The hydraulic steering is great old school and more reliable than electronic glad to see Nissan put that in the engine. For what we need this truck will do the job just fine and will be better off road trails in narrow tight spots unlike full size trucks here in Colorado. We do not need a full size truck harder to park in spaces and just too big the midsize are just right and this Nissan was the pick over the other makers for price and features.
