ATTENTION: If anyone replies to your comment and states you've "won a gift", it's a SCAM. Please do not email or "telegram" anyone your information. Also, revivals have NOT gone anywhere. They'll ALWAYS be on the channel. I like to take a break and do a cool build every now and who! THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Hey everyone - in the last year Derek his family have moved across many states, built a shop, built an add on to the shop, recovered from a flood, created an entirely separate TV show AND still delivered free content here. Can we get some applause for these hard working folks?!

"No brakes garage" lol. That got a smile out of my daughter while she's getting her chemo treatment! Thank you for making her smile. Her smile makes me smile. Thank you Derek for bringing a little happiness to her while she's going through this. I wish Derek could see this and know just how much he makes one little girl and her dad happy.

Well this may be the last new upload I get to watch with my viewing buddy. My mom loves your videos and 2 weeks ago she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her lungs, kidney and lymphnodes. She gets a kick out of the bleep bloop lightning whirler guy. Your videos mean the world to this old vet. Keep em coming feller. God bless you and your family.

Love how frustrated you get with all the different size fasteners from Dodge. Makes you appreciate GM.

Funny thing. The revivals initially sparked my interest and I started out watching those. Then, as I watched more of them, I actually learned a lot more about motor vehicles. This then let me appreciate all the other car/truck content like builds, drag racing, modding, car events, etc. because I better understood what was going on and how much effort was involved. Revivals: the gateway drug to motorsport culture.

When I was in upholstery class, we would put Polly wrap over the old foam to give a little extra cushion and reduce friction between new cover and old foam. It works really well.

Yup I remember when "Silverado" was a trim level (the highest trim level) of the C/K-series pickup, along with Custom Deluxe and Scottsdale. Chevrolet and GMC abandoned the more utilitarian model names as pickup trucks moved upmarket. Wow though, just imagine the decades of beer farts trapped in that old seat.

I'm glad you put the disclaimer in the video about laying under the engine

Thanks for another fun and interesting video. Can't wait to hear it run. As a teenager, I stuffed a stock car small block into a 67 Impala SS. I couldn't scare up an affordable Muncie, so I found a Borg Warner T10. That, of course, meant a different drive shaft (due to spline difference). Making sure I put no wear on my tape measurer, I just stuffed a drive shaft I found into it. It was only a 'little' tight. The first time I got on it and happened to hit a bump, I broke the left motor mount and shoved the fan through the radiator. I had less concern for my tape measurer after that. When the engine builder learned of my 'lemming charging off the cliff' move, he took pity and sold me an M22 for 100 bucks--because he 'didn't know it's condition.' He rebuilt trannies and knew damned well its condition and worth, but he was that kind of person. You remind me of him.

I can’t believe Monster transmission still exists, they sold me one for my Dodge, put it in, truck wouldn’t move, front pump was out, clutches burned out, and the torque converter went at 150 miles. Upon opening the trans I learned, it was a used transmission that had been painted silver, and sent on a truck from Florida to Tennessee. They told me I could send it back if I pay for the like $200 shipping. I asked if I could have a local shop look at it, they said yes. Then when we told them what all was wrong they said, “ Having another shop look at it voids the warranty, we can’t help you. Goodbye “ so after spending $2500 on the trans, I had to spend another $1800 to get it working. Went to the shop 8 times in 6 weeks. This was 2018. Found out my brother did the same thing in 2019. Bought one for his Squarebody. Same deal, used trans painted silver. Wouldn’t move. I cannot stress enough. DONT BUY

Edit: It died again a few months ago, mines an 01 ram 2500 360. I tow a lot of vehicles with her, once I got the trans to work, it worked, till it didn’t. Currently manual swapping
