I rebuilt my first engine, pretty much by myself, when I was 12. It was a 225 Slant Six out of a 1965 Plymouth Valiant. We always had at least one project vehicle going.

I am currently rebuilding a 1972 Chevy C20, Super Cheyenne, with a newly rebuilt 402 (with a custom roller cam, slightly bored over cylinders, lined innards [to be able to run alcohol], electronic ignition and a Holley 650, aluminum, double pumper). She makes around 450 hp. Not too shabby!
