I feel like if the iPad Air had a 128 Gb option, it would suck a ton of sales from the base model pro option

As a M1 iPad Pro user, I think the Air 5 is worth it, plus the extra colors… I mean damn, wish I could get that blue on the iPad Pro 🥹 but I only got the Pro because I got it at release, and I am a gamer so I use the 120 hz, and am a student and the perceived latency is lower with the pencil. Ultimately the performance is the same, but the perceived performance will be higher with the higher refresh rate. But if you don’t need the 120 hz screen it’s definitely a steal.

If you manage to stary away from any 120Hz Display, you this feels like a great tablet.
Last year I went into the Apple Store to get the Air 4, but as soon as I tried M1 iPad Pro, the Air felt laggy, even though it doesn't actually lag.
Similar happened when I tried iPhone 12 and 13 in the stores, whilst comparing them to the other Samsung Flagships that cost half.

120Hz is the future, but if you're fine with that, or even with 64GB base version, this tablet is definitely it.

Traded in my previous iPad ($180) and upgraded to iPad Air 5. My main 2 reasons were to get the usbc connection for an external hard drive and the other was the smart connection for a trackpad/keyboard. Use Lightroom mobile to edit Raw photos. Made my first video using Lumifusion. Bought a preowned Logitech combo touch for $120. Looking forward to traveling. Extremely satisfied!

I watched another comparison video and the speakers and microphones on the pro were way better than the air. 64GB is just too low for a device that will last years and if they start releasing pro apps then they will use more storage. With the jump to 256GB it is almost the same price as the pro 128GB, and for that you get better speaker, pro motion and a better camera (not that many people use the camera). But then is 128GB going to be enough or is the 256GB air a better long term investment.

If you live near a MicroCenter or have a Costco membership, the 11" Pro 128GB often goes on sale for $700. The screen + speakers + FaceID + double the storage is well worth the extra $100 IMO. Really wanted the Purple Air but found the deal at Costco. Loved the review though. Subscribed!

I noticed the improvement of the M1. I have a huge notability library and regularly move files to my students. The M1 really cuts down on the time it takes to export those files.

Unfortunately I can also affirm the findings of the new body. There’s definitely a QA issue. Mine creaks and pops just holding it here watching this video. It’s localized around the Apple logo. It doesn’t appear to affect the operation, but it feels pretty cheap - and I’m coming off the 2018 pro and Air 4.

Great vid man, I appreciate your takes on products. Also the biggest diff for the iPad Air is the light weight n with the m1 chip!!

I bought my first iPad (that blue iPad Air 5 256GB) and absolutely love it. Believe it or not, I know I didn’t need the Pro as I am not an artist. But I was waiting for Centerstage to come to the Air.

I would honestly recommend to take an ipad pro 11' 2018 from apple refurbished. It's 100€/$ less than the air, and the screen (Wich is the most important component of a tablet) is way better.
Performance of the pro 2018 are still way than enough for the vast majority (it's on par with the iphone 13 for example)

The storage option is the reason I am getting the iPad Pro 11”. I heard about the creaking of the iPad Air 5 from other YouTubers and I would not get it for that reason. I have the iPhone 13 Pro and want the Pro Motion screen more now because my current iPad Air feels slow and doesn’t have FireWire 3.

I just bought the iPad Pro 11inch 128gb from last year over the iPad Air because of the 64gb alone. Walmart had it for $750

i believe 120 Hz should have been there instead of M1, it would have been a steal. Also storage beginning from 128 gb. People dont care about processor when going for Air I believe. All processors of Apple are good enough.

I traded in my gen 6 iPad for the iPad Air 5. I was nervous to say the least since I didn’t know if I wanted a bigger screen. I wish I got the model with more space, but nonetheless I do love it. I have spent all of my time at home on it and now save my phone for when I’m out and about. It’s nice to have usb c option for an external drive. Overall I have been extremely satisfied.

64 is pretty unreasonable. That’s why I got my iPad mini 6 in 256gb cause it will last just so much longer.

I love my iPad Air 3 and it’s still in perfect condition with 92 percent battery health according to apple. Would love to get the newer air but that starts at 64gb which is so stupid in 2023
