We used to think Planet 9 was a little one called Vulcan that was so close to the sun that we couldn’t see it, because Mercury was acting outside of Newton’s gravitational laws. And then Einstein updated those laws to account for high gravity orbits and learned that Mercury was just doing that on its own.

We have pictures of places in other galaxies, found out that black holes exist but we still don’t know if there is a ninth planet in our own local neighbourhood
That’s like being outside in hundreds of countries on Earth yet still not knowing the name of our next door neighbour

I think it existed in the past and now it doesn't anymore simply because we've lost it it's now a rogue planet. We have been wrong about orbital velocities and trajectories before, just think about Uranus... Okay no pun intended.

My theory is has to adapt with another theory, back when the solar system was forming Jupiter and Saturn ejected a ice giant sized planet to the edge of the solar system but because of the suns gravity it has a orbit way out and it’s an elliptical orbit that could possibly take centuries to complete (edit: Jupiter and Saturn used to be close to the sun but Jupiter ejected Saturn off course, this could have also happened to planet 9 just way bigger)

the fact we barelly have the technology to detect planets makes it all the more exciting when one is discovered... like the amount of effort and dedication to me is just insane

I almost daily wonder about space things, like does space ever end. Like will we ever come to a "wall" in space. Or are we in a simulation, like somebody or something is controling over us like in Sims.
