In the US there are around 4900 different breakfast cereals for sale. In supermarkets there are rows and rows of cereals for sale. If now your favorite cereal is missing it is not yet called a famine.

Cost of diesel will be very expensive, so everything else will be very expensive also, and we haven't seen anything yet.

An average American consumes about 500 lbs of food per year. 2000 lbs per Family? That's a lot of food to hauler. And then, what happens in year 2? I stopped hoarding food some time ago. I am raising chicken now for meat and eggs. I have a fishpond. Raising rabbits. I have a vegetable garden and I just finished harvest of 6000 llbs of grain. This storing food always reminds me of the Dodo birds at ice age with the 3 Melons which should last for a billion billion years....

I`m an old guy living on SSI in a trailer park, I have NO options for an alternate storage location, no bugout location and can`t afford a storage unit. I`ve done all I can to prep and secure what I have. I have several automatic 'hole punchers' and carry one with me at all times. I know this probably won`t be enough when SHTF but at least I`m trying, and I`m sorry to say, it`s a lot more than most people I know have done or are doing. It`s going to get ugly very soon, keep giving good advice, if even one person listens to you and does what they can, I say well done to you. Thank you.

I was up until 11:00 last night canning homemade fruit cocktail, its so pretty in the jars and will taste great in the dead of winter. I don't think that its folks don't want to work, as its they figure out they cant live on the wage being offered, just working for gas money. Society is in a vicious cycle.

Don't you all think it's too late to be a prepper? The long term food I have has almost doubled from what I bought it for years ago. Amazon used to be solid, I have been a prime member for years. Now I have order after order go missing during shipping. How does that work? I drove delivery semi truck. If I lost something it came out of my pay. They are stealing sleeping bags, case of spam, etc.. A month to receive a silver eagle dollar, and the price jumped $10 in one month for the next one. Shortages, I seldom go to my favorite store Winn Dixie. They are out of all kinds of things so I order food by the case from Amazon which can take weeks. This is all planned so there is no way to fix it. I have not met one person in my neighborhood that thinks this situation is real and dangerous. I say at least buy in bulk rice and beans and bouillon. They say I don't like rice and beans! Maybe the masses should die off as a process of evolution! Too many people are way too stupid!

That is correct I have 3 locations for supplies.

Trucking of regular gas. Food farm plastics for bottles, water, cleaning equipment, medicine, clothes, paper products batteries and so on

So far this week I've had my car serviced, new headlamps, tyres, filled up on petrol, bought ANOTHER 2 x 20 litre plastic water containers from aquatics store, plus an aquatic hand pump, a single air mattress and foot pump, and I paid for my HAM RADIO exam for Foundation licence. At 5 pm I'll take my son to the dentist, as his wisdom teeth are coming in. Better to fix his teeth now, rather than regret not taking him to the dentist later.

city buses run off diesel if they are not all electric, so ifwe lose diesel then city buses will have to either cut back service or shut down entirely. delivery services like UPS or FedEx etc use diesel
