I never have done ballet but always loved it, and I certainly love watching your videos.
I’m 26 and I’m working to save money and do ballet clases just to learn for the joy of it, and maybe one day I will tell my kids to never give up on their dreams even if they take time to be accomplished.

Thank you so much for this video!!! I love balances, too! Especially in passé! Today we did a balance at the end of our rond de jambe combination where we went up into sous-sous, brought the leg up through passé, and then extended out to second. Then brought the arms up into fifth and balanced. It was so great! Then before we did the other side, my teacher remarked, "you know, it really is amazing that you've only been dancing for a year." Today was my one year ballet anniversary! It was also officially three months en pointe. I was ready for pointe after six months, and actually started at nine months. And the strength it's building is such a game changer for my technique. I feel so proud! Ballet has become my everything! It's what was missing all these years! One of my classmates, who has danced for 50 years and was subbing for our teacher a few weeks ago, told me that it's a shame I didn't start when I was four. I wish I had! It feels so good to know that people can see your potential and believe in you!
Ok, anyway, long winded post over. LOL!!!

Hi Claudia, I can relate to you so well. I haven't danced some years as well and know the feeling when you hadn't danced in a while, then trying an 'old' routine again and still nailing it.
