Free Live Ballet Classes for Adults - Sunday 12pm (NYC time)

This is a classical ballet class for beginner/intermediate adult students. If your fitness/dance studio isn't doing online dance classes during the pandemic, or you're just curious about starting ballet, you're welcome to join this weekly class!

During this difficult time in the world, we all have to do our part to help our communities. This is my way of contributing to the dance community and to all of the dancers out there who can't make it to their studios right now. I hope you're all staying healthy, and holding on. We will get through this together!

This ballet class was created for intermediate/advanced level ballet students of all ages! I dictate and demonstrate the combinations with my hands and then do them along with the students for both sides. Make sure to pay a lot of attention to form and alignment throughout this ballet class. Keeping the back straight, the shoulders down, the hips level and the legs turned out, it is a vital part of this class.

This class was created with a small space in mind and can be done either at home or in the studio. If you're doing this class at home, a chair back or a kitchen counter can be great alternatives for a ballet barre. Thank you for watching, and I hope you have a wonderful ballet class experience!

ABOUT ME | Nataliya Bondar-Shelest
I entered the world of professional ballet at the age of ten, as a student at the Kiev State Ballet Academy. I spent years working as a principal dancer in St. Petersburg and Kharkiv. Throughout my life as a ballerina, I traveled the world with various ballet companies until I found my love of teaching. Over the past 15 years, I've worked as a private ballet teacher and choreographer to both young and adult ballet students.
