surprisingly the airplane mode trick worked for me...i tried to keep airplane mode on even after restart and right up until i had to enter the code, thanks so much!

It doesn't work for Android 9. Can't get both phones connected and it's amazing that Apple is aware of this a few months back and yet no solution or update for the app "Move to iOS". No wonder the market share of iPhone keeps dropping. If Steve is still alive a lot of people would have been fired.
