In this final episode Dawkins examines why Darwin's theory remains one of the most controversial ideas in history. As Darwin set out on the voyage on the Beagle he still believed that god created the world and everything in it. But the evidence he discovered demonstrated the truth: that all life forms vary and that some are more likely to reproduce, passing variations on. Today, Dawkins argues, science has the evidence to prove that evolution is true. Modern discovery of the DNA code has added to the mountain of evidence showing that evolution is a fact. So why, Dawkins wonders as he meets creationists in America, is opposition to evolution more aggressive than ever? Returning to the school he visited in episode one, Dawkins confronts the science teachers and challenges their view that they 'can't get in to the business of knocking down kid's religions and the religions of families'. The concept of evidence is the foundation of all of Dawkins' points. Evidence is not the same as perception or opinion. Only in the context of science is the meaning of the word evidence clear. Science doesn't exist without evidence; religion does.

Evolution does not state that everything evolves at the same rate or that it completely needs to evolve into something much more advanced than what it currently is. It evolves according to what it needs to survive. Cockroaches, for the sake of example, have "barely" evolved over 100 million years. Not much has changed since then and now in regard to the cockroach. Humans 100 million years ago however are a far cry from what we are today. Certain physical features, intellect etc...

There are over 6, 000 primary religious texts, including the Bible, Popul Vu, Rig Veda, Bagavad Ghita, the collected Ghitas, and a whole host of others. Each of them has a different creation myth. What proof is there that the bible's version is the correct one?

All these religious responses are weak... there is no evidence to support any of the bibles claims ! You might as well follow and live by a Spiderman comic book. A book is just a book until it can be demonstrated BY EVIDENCE that its claims are true.
