I’m surprised so few people have mentioned in this comment section that the indigenous people are based on a real group — the Sami. & for many of them, that loss of their culture, language, and land is irreversible and very real. (I would suggest watching “Sami Blood” for an insight.)

. I guess with your deeper message and all that could possibly be read into the movie. But it was invisible to me watching the movie because it's so trashy. Like I could go on and on with the many issues of the movie that made me considerably dislike it, and any subtle messaging to me is lost in all that trash.

If it has a greater message of colonialism being bad and that both sides suffer for it, great. But that could be given in a paragraph or even a sentence, we don't need a full length animated movie to say that in a bad way. I get what your saying here, but I have no desire to see that movie again and I still see it as a badly designed movie.
