I will keep the handles on my Toaks. I use a 3x3 inch scrap piece of leather as my pot handle holder.

Decathlon just opened another store in Toronto. I managed to get there for the grand opening and snagged a down jacket for only $51CAD 🥳 I went looking for a merino tshirt and walked out with a bag full of stuff 😂

Just casually sprinkling the world premier of the X Mid Pro 2+ in there haha. Hoping to get me one on Wednesday! Great video! Hoping to get some of these items for my GDT trip next summer. However, definitely not stuffing a pot handle for a small expensive gripper that is only 6 oz. lighter

Great video with well thought out choices. Regardless of the season you always have excellent gear choices. No viewer ever gets wrong information from you.
In some items I'm lighter than you and others heavier. LiGHTER ->Tarptent NOTCH Li, no chair. HEAVIER-> Osprey EXOS 58 pack, Western Mountaineering Megalite mummy.

X-Mid pro 2+ sounds super interesting. Earlier this spring I purchased X-Mid2 Reg version instead of a pro because Pro was advertised as 48 inch wide and reg version as 52 inch. And we use Zenbivy Double Bad 50" as our sleep system, and it just fits inside the 52" floor of our tent. Having said that, we still have no problems with condensation, as it is a double wall tent, so our quilt does not get wet.

I love leukotape as well, except for the adhesive residue it leaves on my socks (liner or wool) which is difficult to remove.

Im willing to compromise on most items to shed off the weight except for my sleep system. I tried the ultralight pillows and my sleep grewtly suffered. I guess my heavier pillow is my "luxory" item.

I’ve been using the DreamSleeper for a year but I use a neck gaiter around it so I’m not sleeping on plastic and then I tie shock cord around the inside to attach it to my pad. This allows you to use a pillowcase whereas your method does not.

On the lightweight comfort side, my Tarptent Double Rainbow Li is an awesome shelter. 50” wide, real headroom, can be freestanding, can be double walled, can be crammed into smaller uneven spots. Worth the extra weight to me, but still under 2lbs. However, it is expensive like other 2P DCF tents.
