In America too much texting is seen as being desperate, clingy, or even toxic

From watching Korean dramas there is no such thing as casual dating. After several dates you become exclusive. Usually the parents meet and if both approve you must get married. Some marriages are arranged by the parents and the couple has no choice.

This was so helpful. I’m American and wanting to be official is super fast to me. I’m used to talking for a few months, maybe have a few dates but not deciding to be official until both of you are sure this could be more than a fling.
If official is really fast, are there other aspects of how the relationship progresses that seems to fast in comparison to western dating?

I definitely understand 😂😂 When I met my boyfriend at first time, and spend more time with him, and he just saying we're just hanging out, not in a relationship, I was really shocked😂😂
I thought he was playing with me lol
but after I understand American culture, well
