Being mindful of where the sun rises and sets.. When building, avoid these heat / hot spots and have those big glass windows and doors in cooler areas. Many clients do not see the benefits of these despite advise of professionals before making those blue prints.

I live in florida where we have hurricanes..during the renovation, I remember that I was not allowed to have big overhangs due to hurricane issues. With strong hurricane winds, the expansive overhangs will contribute to the possibility of the roof being blown off easily from the rest of the house. This is something to make note of in hurricane prone areas!

the commitment with having a glass house in general is really hard. the expense of maintenance is really tough. i would only suggest these to clients if they can really commit with the expense even after construction 😅
