My personal swiss army knife set up is

Sickle: great at chaff clearing and still decent against mediums. Accurate, Limitless ammo.

Grenade pistol: kills mediums, groups, and closes bug holes and factories. Kills striders from the front. 2 shots spewers.

Quasar: kills heavies, elites, drop ships, and many sub objectives from far away. limitless ammo.

Orbital rail cannon: kills tanks, hulks, and chargers with 1 shot. Against bile titans 1 shot strips armor and hurts them. 2 shots will kill the bile titan. Recharges at an ok speed, auto lock on for easy fast kills.

Impact grenades for bots as they're great against striders (even from the front) and devestators.

high explosive grenades for bugs. Fast for closing bug holes or killing mediums and large groups if things get scary.

Eagle airstrike. Kills or seriously hurts anything, smashes groups, decent recharge speed.

Then either laser rover or shield.

Been a great build for nearly everything.

lately for armor i’ve been using medium armor with the extra padding buff so i have 150 health like a heavy armor but im also not slow. i’ve noticed i die a lot less and i run it on both bots and bugs. the armor you start the game with is super underrated and they added a new armor when the polar warbond dropped that also has the same stats

As for me, Quasar is overrated for bots. What will you do against 4 gunships? They just shred you. The main enemies of bots are devastators, hulks, and gunships. And Quasar is bad for two of them. If you want a universal loadout take Autocannon, EAT, 500 kg, and Airstrike, and you close all enemies. However, making universal loadout for bugs and bots is a bad idea because gameplay for both factions is very different, so specialized builds are much more effective.

I agree, however I would personally swap out the orbital laser and 500kg for orbital rail cannon and/or eagle airstrike or orbital gas

I kinda like the jump pack over the shield. For bot, i use the diligence counter sniper to take down armor enemies with accuracy, grenade launcher for smaller ones or heavy ones, and destroy fabricator. For bugs, fire shotgun top choice, 1 or 2 shot and lots of bugs die after 3s, with the Quarsar cannon. My play style are distance first and efficiency second :D

I see no reason to use heavy armour. Always prefer more speed than being a fat juggernaut that doesn't feel so jugger

This game gets me creative for ideas on weps and equipment. Another option for Nades, - a sticky acid goo grenade that sticks and explodes a small area of sticky hot glue that holds the enemy down to the floor and slows chargers down completely to walking pace forever if you hit the legs etc. hunters would not be able to jump travel fast.
With Arc weapons a new gun that fires electrical ballistic emp bullets against bots to do damage over time. Against bugs it effects their central nervous system and slows them down and kills over time. ??! Just loads of different weapon strategies.

Now I'm not a big fan of being lazy and wanting just one loadout for all situations, being able to customize and choose one that is fun and works for you is one of the strengths of HD2! And it makes it more fun in the long run imo.
That being said if I were to change anything in this loadout I'd swap the QC för the EAT.
I don't know why ppl underestimate them so much. They are so versatile. If you know you'll be in a location for a couple minutes, say doing an optional objective like the SEAF artillery, you can call down the EAT at least twice meaning you'll have 4 rockets at your disposal, 5 if you are carrying one already!
5 rockets that you can fire away with no cooldown, instant fire, squadmates can pick them up and flank the enemy and by the time you fired all 5 rockets you'll probably be able to call down another EAT!!
And they are more fun than the QC, also you don't have to worry about running across the entire map to retrieve your support weapon if you die.

TLDR; EAT vs Quasar:
+more versatile
+low cooldown
+instant shot
+no worries if you die and get reinforced far away, just call in another EAT
+looks more badass
+squadmates can pick them up and flank the enemy
+you can call down several EATs in one place if you'll be there for a couple minutes=firepower
+you can save a stratagem slot for a squadmate who can pick something else instead of a support weapon
+when you're running across the map and EAT comes off cooldown when you don't need it you can throw it down on strategic locations that you know you'll later run by (always call down EAT as soon as it comes off cooldown)

-if you lack firepower and the enemy overruns your position you can lose access to the EATs on the ground (that's like literally the only drawback I can think of). But the same goes if you die with QC only then you'll have to clear out the enemies before you can retrieve it.

termanids with out all the fancy reload cancel stuff, arc blitzer recoiless perfect blitzers pushes away small bugs gives you time to reload recoiless for strikes run gas strike as well perfect if they get too close and too many.

I run the following for bugs, works great!

Armor: DP-40 Hero of the Federation (50% chance of living with critical damage and no bleed damage if chest hemorrhages - medium armor)
Primary: Jar 5 Dominator
Secondary: Grenade Pistol (for bug holes)
Support: Quasar Cannon + Shield Backpack
Strats: Orbital Laser & Orbital Rail Cannon Strike

Personally love the Quasar althought the cooldown irks me a bit now but having infinite ammo and not having to wait over 1-6 minutes for a calldown to reset is fantastic. I can still get 5 shots in in a minute so meh when at best I could get 3 off a EAT's, and while a Recoilless you get 6 now your hunting for ammo or burning a supply drop just to try and refill it. Quasars general purpose versatility works just fine since I don't tend to get bogged down in a fight that is rapidly devolving to overwhelming, I'll disengage and circle around. Especially when I'm roaming by myself having gone loot goblin mode while the team is hitting objectives it really is nice to have. While with the team the team compensates for that slower fire rate with there own AT choices.

For primary I still use the Sickle heavily as it just allows me to deal with so much fairly effectively with less ammo concern. Secondary is grenade pistol on bugs and usually bots but maybe Senator for bots to help Sickle deal with Devs and Striders.

I would drop the Orbital Laser for the 120mm/380mm barrage. 120mm if you dont have the tier 4 upgrade that gives -15% spread, and the 380mm if you do have the -15%. Its got a shorter cooldown than the laser, deals large AOE denial/destruction and is great for clearing medium/large nests and bases. Plus the 380 can kill bile titans and factory striders in 1-2 hits. The orbital laser being limited to 3 uses a mission really hurts it on longer missions or when you really need to destroy everything in an area. once the laser sticks to a big enemy like a charger/hulk/tank/factory strider/bile titan thats going to tank all of its damage without hitting the chaff unless you already heavily damaged it. it takes getting use to the 120/380 but once you get the hang of it, you can do some serious damage and it makes taking medium/large bases and nests significantly easier. that said I highly recommend using Servo-Assisted armor, it will allow you to throw the beacon much further out and away from allies without risking you or them to friendly fire.

Medium grenadier armor, Impact explosive nade, JAR, Autocannon, Eagle Airstrike, Orbital laser. Any mission, either side. Everything else is extra toys. or to make a mission easier.

Pipz, o really like your videos!
About the loadout: A S-Tier Loadout, really Consistent but, when You reach high level You Will try diferents Loadout to not get bored. At this point your Loadout Plasma Fire + Rover is my favorite now a days.

I'm testing something about Purify + Dagger, but on terminids i really get down on Acid Bugs + Hunters, even w/ the new perk. May work w/ Shield or automatic pistol. Try something like that on the next video 😁

Very good loadout assuming you insist on running the same thing against both enemies. Practically speaking I think the stun should be swapped for either impact or incendiary impacts vs bugs, allows you clear huge amounts of weenies without wasting JAR ammo on them, and also makes it easier to clear bug holes (can be tricky to keep the GL pistol stocked up on ammo sometimes). The only thing stuns really help with is chargers, and you don't really need it with them imo. A couple of other changes you could do (personal preference) would be Eagle Airstrike instead of 500kg and EAT over Quasar. Very solid build overall

I use light armor for bugs and heavy for automatons i just dont like the medium armor i used it in the start of the game but then switched to light only but today in my 10 hours of making sweet democracy i tried heavy armor again after 3 month and fell in love in the first operation against the automatons with the heavy class😍
