This is definitely one of the biggest updates Apple has put out in a long time. I love all the new customizations on there, the phone to phone Apple Pay with NFC, and especially the new Apple intelligence that is coming relatively soon, and here's something a little off topic since I noticed the Oilers logo in your studio, GO CATS!

Thanks for this update. As I’m in UK, it will be a while before we can access iOS 18. As someone who has sight problems, the facility to enlarge icons AND change them to black on yellow, (the clearest combination for us oldies!), I can’t wait to see what difference it makes (literally!).

In the photo library click on a photo with the date there should be a tab bar at the bottom with up and down arrows on the left with a circle around it and when you tap it says sort by recently added, sort by date captured, filter, and view options. when you tap on filter it will show all the albums like before example of all items, favorites, edited, videos, screenshots, etc. instead of having to go back in iOS 17 and exit a photo to find those categories in blue. next to the arrow circle should be Years, Months, All and a X. To hide an app it seems to only work with 3rd party apps and you have to press on the app and hide it with require face ID. You can also turn off the phone in control center with the power button on the top corner on the right side.

As a nearly 4 year apple device user and a 12 year android user I’m liking what apple has done here , apple has gone above and beyond my expectations, however I can still see room for improvement in one or two areas.
But on the whole, wow, well done Apple !

You can’t really put the apps anywhere you want because technically they still snapped to a grid. When I try to put an app in a weird spot off center, it moves.

To hide an app, press and hold the icon, select require Face ID then you should get the option to either require Face ID or Hide and Require Face ID or Cancel.

im wondering since Siri is having this bezel animation are they going to add some form of screen reading and searching like you can do with google "read this?" also circle to search for a photo of a pair of shoes and it could help you find it for example or able to copy and paste text you can't normally press and hold for?

Do not update if you think you wanna go back to IOS 17 at some stage. It is an absolute hassle to try and get back to an older version as I'm currently trying to do and failing at and I'm now scared I've bricked my phone.
