In my opinion clean the plate heat exchanger with chemicals is a bodge job, always fit a new one which will probably be under £100

I'm surprised they went for the deep clean/fix - it might've been cheaper to just install a new boiler

My Vitodens 111 has no hot water for the second time this year. It is a 4 year old heating system. It was serviced as part of annual maintenance in September (3 months ago). Cant get a technician in due to Christmas holidays, I need to reset the boiler after every shower. Very poorly designed product. If this happens again after being fixed, I will go for another boiler brand rather than not having hot water (and waking up to cold apartment) again.

How come the flue doesn’t require mechanical fixings? (Screws) I don’t really touch viessman boilers so that would probably catch me out!
