BRANDS TESTED: Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Ryobi, and Worx. Let's test 5 brands of lithium battery powered chainsaws: All of the chainsaws compared against each other and against a 16-inch Stihl MS 170 gasoline chainsaw. The chainsaws competed in 3 tests which include 2 cutting speed tests on 4x4 lumber and one test on hardwood. All of the saws were also tested for battery charge time, no-load run time, noise level, and no-load sprocket/chain speed.

Excellent job comparing. I just got rid of my gas powered chain saw and replaced it with a Ryobi. It does a great job. I only use it occasionally and for light jobs.
