I go over the ps5 pro and my thoughts/opinions on it.
The Playstation 5 Pro was announced and a lot of people like penguinz0 (moistcritical), someordinarygamers, and many other YouTubers including myself are not happy. The gaming industry needs cheaper alternatives for introductory gaming but the scalpers of 2020 ruined that for everyone. The main focus of this video is about how PS5 scalpers raised the price of the PS5 pro.

I'm not a pro so I don't need a pro console and they expect me to pay extra for it

An important reason why people still, and will continue to buy consoles is convenience. A console is the definition of a plug-and-play system. Normal non-nerd people have no inclination whatsoever to "build a PC", or even buy one, where they still have to deal with and manage a Windows system. With Steam, PC has come closer to the console experience, but it's definitely not the same yet. At all. Beginning with the fact that you can easily get a game on PC that will run like shit, until you have adjusted a gazillion graphics settings to make it run somewhat smooth; on console, every game is always optimized for your exact hardware. I do have a gaming PC myself, which I mainly use for playing stuff like heavily modded games, but I consider myself a gamer and computer nerd; and also my gaming PC cost thousands of dollars. By comparison, even the Pro is still a good deal.

To be clear, for me the lack of a physical Bluray drive is what kills the Pro. I will never buy a console without disc drive; I'm just to old-school that way (call me boomer if you must). But I would really love to get the additional horsepower for VR...

What is even the point of a Pro model when 90 percent of the games released so far have been crossgen or held back by the Series S?

We've barely gottern any PS5 maxing games and why even dropp 700 on a Pro when the PS6 is just 3-4 years away anyways?

The price has more to do with the money they lost on a game that shut down a week after release. That and simple greed.
