In this video, I talk about driving a car with traction control. I specifically address whether it is better to drive with traction control on or off. This has been a long standing debate, and many people stand on both sides of the argument. So I made this video to clear it all up and tell you about the situations in which it is better to drive with traction control engaged, and another very specific situation in which you might consider turning it off.

I won't ever buy a car that does not have the traction control off button in it. I had one and I was always stuck in the mud and snow. Ever since then with my newer cars, the first thing I do when I get in EVERY TIME is shut off the traction control.

Been driving for close to 60 years and during that time, I have driven in some of the most treacherous winter conditions imaginable, all without traction control. To me, traction control is nothing but a crutch for those who wont take the time or don't really want to learn how to drive in adverse conditions. So the first thing I do whenever driving in snowy conditions is to turn off the traction control and trust my driving skills.

Almost as to keep your wipers on while driving on a dry road with clear skies in case it starts raining forbid you forget to turn them when you need them 😅😅

You said almost all people need to keep traction control on. Well, I live in the south and I'm part of that almost all of us, but I don't have to worry about snow and other things on the road.
Everyone doesn't live up north where you have nasty weather a lot of the year. I drive safely and don't use traction control.

If your a crazy driver like me TC OFF lol
More lose and in control of the car, but does cost me tyres 🥵 fun at a cost

But if your normal and not crazy then TC ON
regular cars always have TC ON, then you would actually turn the TC OFF yourself

But like he said slippery, icy or rainy day then even I’m not that crazy enough to drive with TC OFF 😂🤣😂 maybe on race track

What if I am driving on a clean road with no rain or mud or whatsoever? Then, should I still keep the TC on?

And what if I am driving on the clean road and it starts raining then should I turn TC on or it won't make difference as normal raining is a normal thing for a vehicle and don't need TC for it?

TC is only when you go through the muddy, slippery, or snow road?

IF I USE 2 SNOW TIRES THAT ARE 1 INCH IN DIAMETER LARGER IN THE REAR .. WILL THAT DAMAGE THE 2015 JEEP PATRIOT TRACTION CONTROL UNIT. ( OR IS IT BETTER TO TURN IT OFF.)
