The Hyundai Creta has been the king of its hill for a while now. And while many competitors have tried and failed to take it down, the Honda Elevate is a fresh take on a sub-₹20 lakh family SUV. Instead of focusing on headline features, it gets the basics right. But can it beat the Creta? Karan and Glen take them both out in petrol-CVT guise to find out!

Listen to the creta guy's line "yes elevate outshines creta on the basics"
Yes bro I need a car whose basics are top not a car which has sunroof n vent seats...

Bhai driven both, booked Elevate and been using for last 1 month. Very happy with the car!
Value for money.
Creta overpriced with all tech hi-fi.
For a middle aged wise people who are enthusiast they can relate my emotions.🎉
Elevate any day, all day!❤❤❤

Honda Elevate ZX CVT (Top model) costs almost 20L OTR Pune
Hyundai Creta SX Tech IVT costs similar 20L OTR Pune. It doesn’t have ventilated seats, doesn’t have electric seats and misses on the so called tech. Most of the features are similar for both the cars.

Where the Honda shines though is the suspension and the driving dynamics. Loved it, although ended up buying a VW Virtus instead. 😂

Creta/Seltos are probably the poorest cars for mountain areas. Clutch wears out too quickly, automatics are very hard to modulate on steep climbs with turns. Dusty region around leh usually cloggs up a few sensors frequently. They're great cars for planes, but not so much on an elevation

No doubt 1.5 NA of Honda is the best but No turbo petrol, diesel engines, Features, Panoramic sunroof and most important the Crash test Rating etc these things made the Elevate flop on arrival
Dealers are trying their hard to sell existing stock and company haven't even shipped the R variant with 6 Airbags standard with manual..and dealer is saying 3 months waiting for that variant..Honda digged their own grave by doing these mistakes
Also despite seeing Slavia/Virtus and Verna crash test rating they haven't even dare to send their City 5th Gen for crash test..this clearly shows their confidence on their products..just showing internal crash test videos on launch events doesn't make their cars 5 star rated..

The base variant are the most highest selling varient but are being ignored by every channel. The base creta is 1 lks cheaper than the elevate with better rear seats and better mileage. Elevate has a slightly powerful engine but many prefer comfort and milage over power.

Both are tailored and made for India. Cars these days are just competing on how many more Electronics they can include or how much more useless features they can make. The City, Endeavours, fiestas, compass, duster, jetta, polo all were the most incredible global level products with each having specific characteristics. Lost gems replaced by moving computers today.

Both are Gems in their own ways..
Creta :
1)Refined Crdi Engine (incredibly good)
2) Reliability
3) Space

Elevate:
1) ivtec Kicked in Yo (9000+ rpm)
2) Driving Pleasure & Fun to drive
3) Very Reliable

I believe if you want no nonsense car then go for elevate no doubt, but if you want to have all those tech involved in your car then go for seltos. I own elevate and been using creta before The major diff is elevate is more practical and creta is more tech car

useful features Elevate lacks:
-standard equipment ventilated seats
-powered driver seat
-rear disc brakes
-360 camera & front parking sensors
-dashcam
-all window one-touch up-down

These things are offered by the competition & will be very useful for the largest vehicle (Elevate) in this segment. In order to keep prices competitive, Honda can add these features and make sunroof optional. Those who want sunroof can pay extra meanwhile for others, more relevant features will be well within their budget.

Elevate has the largest boot & highest ground clearance in its segment.

Honda Elevate anyday over a Creta .so many Creta on the road there is no novelity factor and the design is so polarizing while the elevate is gracious looking and will age well

Never understand, the ventilated seats and all other features come in the 20L + variant, while the elevate top model comes at 19.5L

One thing I will like to add is that the Elevate is not for someone who is above 6 feet. I don’t know why Honda does this but they have restricted the seat travel for the front seats which makes it uncomfortable for taller passengers and the under thigh support is poor in both front and rear seats. Also the NVH is extremely poor. Let me know if any other tall passenger has had a different experience with the elevate.

We have a 2020 Creta as a family car which my father owns. I loved its effortless drive, but I just booked 2024 elevate for myself. Dunno why but elevate felt really really good during test drive as compared to all other cars i have test driven. I found it to be vfm as well. At the end of the day, i think it’s pretty much individual choices. Both are good cars.
