Sonos Beam 2 Randomly Makes Loud Horrible Sound

I have a new Sonos arc making a loud screeching noise similar.

I had the same thing happen, identical sound, sonos support advised a reset but I'm probably going to return it this week for another beam, scared it will happen late at night and wake up the whole house!

Reading the Sonos discussion forums, this awful sound seems to be a common issue with some Sonos speakers, if it starts happening with my Sonos Roam, I’ll be returning it soon

You didn't set the TV up to interface correctly with it. I assume it's a arc HDMI connection. There needs to be a setting to turn on

i totally agree, the arc input with tv sucks . It is good only for music purpose to be honest

Some sonos had fatal error, it's makes a horrible sound for no reason

Don’t have that sound on my sonos but that oscillating sound maybe coming from your tv. Do you have samsung QLED TV’s? Make sure your sound output is just set to external speakers only. Seems like a problem from a recent firmware update.

Éste parece ser un problema muy serio con éste modelo Beam, ¿será tema de Hardware o del Firmware de la barra? Encontré un hilo en el foro de discusiones de Sonos referente a esta falla y por lo que he leído lamentablemente parece no tener solución, no sé si alguien sepa a qué se deba esta falla y si es tema de software como remediarla

Even I had the same sound today. We literally got scared for a while... my Beam was purchaed 10 months back from Costco. Will they accept a return with this reason?

Sonos is over priced garbage. Their app is trash too. Connectivity is horrible. Customer service is shit.
