Topic: Neurofeedback & Chill: Biohacking Motivation & Avoidance

Want to know how to light a fire under yourself, and dissolve task avoidance? 🧠 Join us for our next Neurofeedback & Chill session where we’ll dive into Biohacking Motivation & Avoidance and explore how neurofeedback and other brain-based strategies can help you take control.

🔍 What We’ll Cover:

• Understanding approach / avoid conflicdt and motivation through a neurobiological lens
• How neurofeedback can retrain your brain for forward motion
• Practical biohacks to reduce overwhelm and boost task action

Hang out with me every Monday at 6pm Pacific while I do a neurofeedback session, or some other biohacking exploration.

I'll first explain and answer questions about what I am doing, and then answer other biohacking questions, or questions on optimizing sleep, stress, performance, speed of processing, brain fog, etc.

Get into the chats & comments with your questions - live or later!

It’s very hard to believe that you’re able to change your brain waves on demand while you’re talking and explaining. Shouldn’t it distorted the process dramatically?

These videos are very helpful. I have liked the nicknames you've given different brain areas. It helps me remember some of their "jobs." The young boy and old man on the porch is a great analogy in this video. For future videos, would you consider talking about blue brain maps? Maps that show up with low theta or alpha and the common experiences related to low power.

Do you find much of a difference when picking which ear to use as reference, when using just one? Linked ears would be ideal but think I remember being told somewhere it's better to take the opposite side, so in this case when doing single channel, I would probably have taken F7 against A2. I'm also glad the professionals also struggle to debug what's going on with a bad signal when in the middle of a session 😅. If jiggling all the connections doesn't work I usually stop, unplug and replug and that often does it.

This is very helpful! I think especially noting that if there are other complaints of resource challenges that getting them out of the way first is appropriate before commencing the motivation protocols. I would love to know if there is a difference between something like generalized anxiety disorder and "avoidance"

Also on the topic of interhemispheric connectivity, are there some good signs of a general lack of connectivity, rather than an excess? Beyond doing a map and looking at cross-correlation and phase ofcourse. If high sensitivity to feedback might indicate hyperconnectivity, does hyposensitivity converselypotentially indicate hypoconnectivity?

FYI, looks like the live chat is missing from this one, when watching it after the fact. And nice to meet your cat :)))
