Clear video.. Enjoyed the 'builds' of the Pi Cluster. Thinking of doing same but possibly with the latest Sinovip Banana Pi M5 4Gig SBC's. Actually i dont know what Kubernetes is yet, but the idea of owning, building and configuring "My own Datacentre (MoD)" would be a huge achievement for me. 'Grow your own veg', 'own your own data', etc- yeah, its all good :)

The only reason I run kubernetes on metal is for compliance to data locality regulations. More and more countries are requiring data about their citizens to be stored within their borders. So, we install kubernetes on some servers (in our offices or a colocation center) and install our tech stack there.

For finding the IP and/or MAC addresses of devices in a network, sholdn't 'arp -a' be enough? This is available on all platforms and usually used to retrieve IP addresses assigned by your DHCP server

A bit of a meta question but... How do one usually architect clusters? Do you have one big cluster for the whole company with all services and whatnot in the same cluster, do you have one cluster per (customer facing) service, or do you have one cluster per POP, geolocation or country (given that you have your own hardware in these locations)?

I would really like to see a supplemental video to this one that really focuses on best practices for installing Kubernetes and Helm on a fresh Raspberry Pi OS Lite install. You just barely touch on the subject at 28:52 by showing how to run an Ansible Playbook. That would be fine in an Ansible101 series, but in a Kube101 series, a student would expect to learn much more. Thanks for all you do, Brother. ☮❤🌈🧘🏽🕉☸☯

How should MariaDB database be managed in Raspberry Pi Cluster?

Thanks - you answered a LOT of questions - really appreciate this.
- I did "the hard way" tutorial on GCP - realised how much money I was burning & tore it down. - awesome that you can run k8s - going to try "the hard way" tut on a Dramble but...
That tutorial has 3 nodes in the control-plane & 3 workers...
- so that cant work with 4 Pi? - or is there a way? - I was considering getting 3 Pi & then a fourth 6-core x86 mini-pc & then running VMware to create 3 worker nodes. - how much pain am I in for? - that will give me the best of both worlds - a reliable control-plane thats low energy, but no compatibility hassles on the x86 mini-pc. - Am I missing something?
Woud love to see a video where you do "the hard way" on your dramble - the ansilble playbooks wouldnt hurt ;) - I was going to use it as an opportunity to learn ansible anyway.

Wait what? Networking isn't hard. Now excuse me, this prince wants me to send him some money so he can send me money. I also have to pay someone to remove the viruses from my computer.

Somehow I've had enough of the big Zampano - I prefer to stick to people like Niklaus Wirt (Project Oberon)

Not the best video on this series Jeff. It was announced as Bare Metal Kubernetes but all that covered this topic was you saying: "Go to the website and figure it out". The rest of the video is just you talking about Raspberry Pi's. Now I know you are really enthusiastic about this, but there are other (great) video's by you about this.
