Oh wait what, I have never known you had to convert it into a smart object first before using the transform tool

I was hoping for a solution where they’ve cracked the upscaling issue once and for all, .. 😂

And once it's a smart object, you can apply the majority of effects like hue, sat, levels, etc and they are non-destructive (not layer effects, use the straight effects etc). It will also open in its own .psb file when you double-click the thumbnail icon in the layers pallet allowing you to tweak and layer things there as well...

Great, now do the same for an image that is actually smaller then what you need it to be.

All you are doing with a smart layer is keeping the info about the original layer, non-destructive editing as they call is.
In simple terms, you haven't made any changes to the file at all...

ummm, yeah you can shrink it than bring it back to the original size... but in theory you all ready have the file original size, so what was the pint in shrinking it? Now if you showed how to enlarge the image without losing quality that would be something actually worth watching.

Misleading clickbait title. This is not what anyone thought the video was going to be about.

Ok that's fine and simple enough. Just not what I was hoping for
What if I have a scanned photo (say 4x6") and I want to edit it and blow it up to print and frame on my wall?
I know I can't create quality that was never there, but are there tricks using sharpening 'n' stuff?

Aaron, I'm doing architecture photography. Surface areas (glass, metal) are covered in dirty water streaks. In Photoshop, what's the simplest way to remove these unsightly marks? Thanks.
