My daughter insisted that she was a boy for 2 years, from 13 to 15 yo. I never supported that and firmly repeated to her that regardless of what she thinks or does, she'll always be a girl. Then after 2 years she apologised and said she was confused. Now she's slowly accepting herself better, wearing feminine clothes and much happier. Imagine if I had reaffirmed her delusion...

1- California just passed the law protecting schools from telling parents about their children 'self idenitifying' as another gender.
