AMD Fixed GPU Acceleration in Adobe Premiere Pro

Goodbye Nvidia
Nvidia’s RTX 30 GPUs have been selling very well, and many gamers are excited to see them coming back in stock at more reasonable prices, but Nvidia could be in for some really big trouble.

Not only is Nvidia likely to lose next generation in terms of performance when comparing the Lovelace RTX 4090 to the AMD RDNA 3 RX 7950 XT, but additionally Nvidia will lose in terms of performance per watt, and their feature advantages are slowly dwindling. AMD already has an answer for DLSS called FSR 2.0, and recently AMD fixed GPU acceleration in Adobe Premiere Pro meaning that creators using Adobe products can now for the first time in a long time use an AMD GPU.

I’m 3 minutes in and you still didn’t tell me how to enable AMD hardware acceleration. You just kept repeating nonsense.

Great news about AMD finally getting their software sorted out.
H264 might be aging but as the first lossless trans-coding option it is quite ubiquitous.
Might actually get one?
Not getting a 600 watt card, anything much over 300 is just a space heater.

Even if AMD next generation of gpu is faster than Nvidia, AMD will still find a way to lose market share to Nvidia

I think AMD might be a little better, but that just means NVIDIA will respond like they always do. Yay competition!

I love how the consumer has all the power. I'm chilling on my GTX 1070 in desperate need of an upgrade and I could personally care less whether AMD or NVIDIA comes out on top, I'm just picking the better price:performance ratio.

Despite me having a 1300w psu, I'm seriously considering an AMD card for my next gpu (currently on a 2070 super)
Nvidia just seems lacking compared to the advances AMD has been making

Everytime I go to my local Best Buy they have had multiple 3000 series cards.

Video editors are fine 'n' all, but this doesn't change the fact that machine learning projects are fairly dependent on CUDA, especially anything Caffe-based. OpenCL hasn't caught on, and really neither has AMD'S HIP _yet_, though it is doing better.

So for someone like me Nvidia is still the way to go.

I don't like what I'm hearing about Lovelace's power requirements compared to Navi 31. I want a gaming PC, not a space heater.

Finally! With how bad nvidea just screwed up with the 4060-4070 series it’s great to know this is comparable at all! I don’t have to worry about upgrading to AMD now!

Also the fact that alot of people are looking to get out of windows into Linux. Nvidia burned that bridge a long time. So that is another burn them

2000W PSUs won't be uncommon in next gen NVidia PC Builds.

I've already said goodbye to Nvidia about two months ago, because AMD has RSR and FSR to go up against dlss and both are just as good and slowly getting better.
I really like my AMD Radeon RX 6800xt Midnight Black edition, and my AMD 5800x3d is awesome.

The issue is that Tensor cores are mostly useless. They draw extra power and does nothing for games and 3D application performance except for NVidia to hype up their RTX cards.

Nvidia died with LHR for me. Not down with a company telling me what I can and can’t do with hardware I own.

I'm still sticking with Nvidia for gaming period.

Ray tracing is going to be the future in gaming period. I love AMD I run a 5950x but wouldn't trade my 3080ti unless AMD came out with equal performance
