Looking for Earth science data and/or services? NASA's Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) holds more than 29,000 Earth science data set and service descriptions, which cover a broad range of subject areas within the Earth and environmental sciences.
This online directory assists researchers, policy makers, and the public in the discovery of and access to data, related services, and ancillary information (which includes descriptions of instruments and platforms) relevant to global change and Earth science research.
During this webinar we cover: 1) Introduction to metadata and the GCMD mission; 2) Overview of GCMD search functionality and features; and 3) How to contribute Earth science metadata using the GCMD metadata authoring tool called docBUILDER.
