Every sport always in is some form of meta. It’s just the interaction of different strategies.

The thing you are actually complaining about is games becoming “solved”. When there is a singular strategy that is superior to all others that forces every competitor to compete in the same manor. Metas are about tactical interactions, which still exist in all the games you mentioned just with less variation now as strategies have become more refined. Soccer especially as it’s one of the least tactically solved games out there due to the sheer amount of chaos each match has.

Other than diving and acting injured or crying like babies, football has also become more robotic and tactical and has no room for entertaining skill for tricksters like Neymar and Hazard.

If I was an NBA coach I would now turn my players into deadly mid range shooters, which would make it hard for other teams to stop us for at least a whole season.

Not true at all. Poeple are still experimenting withopenings, one famous recent example being the Gambit Dubov basicly invented. After all what engines say barely translates to what is good for humans

It means you are saying in world championship match one should play weird opening...even one simple opening has many variations and depth that doesnt means top players shouldnt play that again ...and pls dont analog chess with other sports😢
