Got my masters degree last June and since pushed myself so much to follow all these expectations, got my first job, moved to a big city.. but now I'm sooo burned out and have a depression. Please people, take time for yourself after graduation. Take care of yourself. Don't do stuff because you feel you have to. Do it because YOU WANT TO. It's a really big change going from uni to the working world. Every thing changes and I didn't take time to adapt and burned myself to exhaustion. Be kind to yourself and when you get your first job really remember that. It is so easy to put pressure on ourselves and let the employers walk over you in fear of losing it or not being enough. But no! You have value, you deserve respect. Never forget that. Sending love to you Jade and everyone reading ❤

Took me two years to land a job in my field. Ended up working retail part time then full time to make ends meet. Was just a lucky connection that got me into my first role. That was in 2018. I burnt out and did a career change in 2022. Life definitely doesn’t turn out as planned due to the expectations set out by the media or what you are told by society.

And with you and others sharing their experiences it will help greatly with the upcoming generations and their mental health to see and hear about the true realities of the world 😊

I'm about to finish my degree that I started to do my dream job, but I'm so burned out that I feel like it's not my dream job anymore. I love the job but they made me hate it, and now it'll take SO much time for me to start loving it again

I graduated from college and went straight to my corporate job and i have been working there for the past 2 years. I’m beyond burned out and my mental health is at it worst and the place i work in could be right for me but not now. I always wish i got a break before i started working.

I graduated in 2020 and I still miss so much my university friends and all the fun we had
Now I think that life just isn't everyday fun and friends. These were artificial conditions and I got used to it, and going back to the reality was painful. Real life is slow and boring, but it is real.
