So what this video proves is that Strauss is responsible for like 95% of the merry go round tracks in Rollercoaster Tycoon.

You play so beautifully! I have not heard Strauss in ages, and now want to start listening again. Strauss was truly a genius...some of the most alive, and sparkly, pretty music ever...not to mention your interpretation of him.

I played trumpet for Radetzky March 20 years ago. I've been searching for the name of that song ever since (my partitions said ''Prussian March''). I am soo grateful for you helping me finding that ear worm, you have no idea. Thank you a 1 000 times for what you do!

Every New Year we watch the concert from Vienna, they always have 3 Encores, a surprise piece, the Beautiful Blue Danube, and the Radetsky March. Fun fact: all the vintage instruments are owned by the orchestra, not the musicians. They are carefully selected to match each other and the performance space for an optimal sound.

Wow. Brings back memories. In the early Sixties, I was forced to take piano lessons and had to learn a couple of those tunes. Turned me off classical music for a while. I picked up on the electric guitar in 1967 and destroyed any memories I had of Strauss. (I still have that same electric guitar today!!) Slowly I was drawn back to the keyboard and started enjoying Beethoven. But I still prefer the guitar. Thanks for the memories!!

Sir I have been looking EVERYWHERE for the Trish Trash Polka, and You and You. It took 10 videos to get here, but I knew you wouldn't let me down!

Well, I did badly : I knew of only 2 titles, those being The Blue Danube and The Radeztki March ; of the remaining 8 works, I knew that 6 had been composed by Strauss, but couldn't recall their names. And how at 67 years I had never heard "Trish Trash Polka" or "Wine Women and Song" and yet considered myself cosmopolitan and well educated... well, I am at a loss for words and feel embarrassed.

Maestro ! Once again in your debt and grateful that you have saved me from the favela of intellectual poverty. 😌

One episode of Tom & Jerry has nearly all these. The episode is titled Johann Mouse. God bless the soul of Scott Bradlee who arranged music for Tom & Jerry along with other MGM cartoons

[clapping along with the Radetzky March] My favorite. We just moved to Europe and my dream is to get tickets to the new year's eve concert of the Vienna Philharmonic.

Strauss pieces are just another level of composition of a piece. Such beautifully and sparkly played pieces with such deep meaning! Knowing the fact that these pieces are not very known by name should receive high recognition of what a composer like strauss could compose in classical music.

Now I really don't who is more lovely : the music or the pianist.

No. 7 is a theme from the overture to the operetta "Die Fledermaus" ("The Bat"); never heard of "You and You" before. No. 5 "Radetzky March" wasn't composed by Johann Strauss II, but by his father Johann Strauss I.

Thinking about all the people that have been dancing to this in the past, respect that.

10 Strauss pieces is easy to find considering you have at least 5 composers named Strauss to pick from.

We start with Johann Strauss the elder. Then go to his three sons Johann Baptist Strauss (aka. Johann Strauss the younger), Josef Strauss, and Eduard Strauß (ß is a German sign for a double s). To find the fifth we jump family and find Richard Strauss.
