They are so off track . You can’t be Christian if you don’t Believe that God is the Father,
God is the Son and God is the Holy Spirit

Just talked to JWs yesterday. Interesting bunch and this guy I talked to seemed genuine but a tad bit brainwashed. I hope the seed was planted .

Everytime they say He's a force I'm thinking star wars.

Either way ive confronted JWs before and they do the same thing they did to Logic, they never answer your question and recommend you to their website.

I see them a lot in airports. Next time I see them I plan on talking with them. Godlogic, channels like yours and Bob the Builder from soco have really helped in defending/sharing the faith.

I can understand why limited people like us have difficulty grasping how the truly holy God is a triune personal entity, but if His word to us tells us that He is at all times Father, Son, and Spirit, then we must believe His word on this

my mind goes numb trying to reach them, they have been trained over and over, only they have the truth
which is not the truth but a fable

Time-stamp

0:52 - Heh, she’s sharp. She’s familiar with the other side.
3:02 - Asking about grief

4:47 - credit to this guy for knowing that sin is personified.
5:18 - reaching agreement, that personification is used to help us grasp a concept.

6:08 - When citing Acts 13:2 and Acts 15:28, it’s important to emphasize that there are multiple, personal passages placed in a **historical** narrative within Acts.

Why does this matter?

When we see a non-person personified in a historical narrative, the personal descriptions are not multi-layered.
For example, in the historical narrative of Genesis, sin is “crouching at the door”, but that’s it for sin’s personification (Genesis 4:7).
As Robert M. Bowman Jr. notes, sin is not an “active participant” in the historical narrative of Genesis.
In other words, within a historical narrative, we would not expect a non-person to be depicted as an “active participant” with multiple personal descriptions.

With that in mind, now let’s look at the Holy Spirit in Acts:

- The Holy Spirit can be lied to (Acts 5:3-4),
- can be tested (Acts 5:9),
- speaks to persons and self-identifies with a personal pronoun in the Greek (“… separate Barnabas and Saul for me” in Acts 13:2),
- discerns and makes a decision at the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15:28),
- and is depicted to be speaking as truly God (Acts 28:25-27, see the underlying Hebrew for “LORD” in Isaiah 6:3 and Isaiah 6:5 before reading Isaiah 6:8-10).

Following the biblical pattern, the “personification of a non-person” objection doesn’t work in Acts because there are multiple layers to the Holy Spirit’s personal descriptions within a historical narrative.

Remember Kids;
1. The JW will likely need to be refuted with the New World Translation or most of what is said will be ignored.

2. Most of the JW's you meet will not stay long if you show any significant resistance to their teachings.
You are little more than a "person witnessed too" a house visited to write down and show their elders as to stay in good standing with their local Kingdom Hall.

It's extremely hard to reach them. I'm doing a 'study' with them now. I have to set their video speed to 1.5 just to hear it at normal speed. It's like it's designed for slow people who don't want to think and they only give me links to JW articles when I give them questions but at least they're willing to admit to me they don't have the answer and "this is the closest they have" so I'm hopeful they will see Jesus is Jehovah soon.

I already gave them like 7 strong texts about Jesus and they admit the questions stumpt them but they just kind of stare at me and start talking about something else without answering the question. Then we move on because i don't want to push them. Only the Holy Spirit can open their eyes.

But I've got at least 60 more questions about Jesus to ask and at least 10 about the Holy Spirit and a few random ones that are going to shock them. As long as they don't end their study with me, I honestly don't see how in the world they can possibly keep believing.

I spoke to some jws the other day and they would not even be fully honest about their beliefs. I asked did they believe Jesus is Lord and they said “yes” and then quickly added “he’s the son.” From what I understand they believe Jesus is not Lord but Michael the arcangel. They also said after death on judgement day, Jesus will give everyone a chance to accept him or stop existing. Which erases what Jesus does on the cross for us. But they said it’s not fair for the people that did not know about Jesus, such as the Aztecs and that’s why Jesus gives a second chance. Bruh!

The bible repeatedly describes the Holy Spirit as a person rather than a inactive personal force or as a force that emanates from the Father. The clearest indications for the personhood of the Holy Spirit are the simple fact that personal pronouns are used when the Holy Spirit is being referenced:
Acts 13:2, Acts 10:19, John 15:26 and John 16:13-14.

Can’t wait to bring this up next time I see some JW’s at the park.

They are so tough, years of hardened unbelief have made them very exhausting to reach.

My new approach will be to challenge their allegiance.

“ that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;”
— Romans 10:9

“Do you believe this?”
… they will have to say yes.

“Then who is Lord, Jesus or Jehovah?”
“ *pause* …you cannot serve two masters”
Hope it may be of use to others.

I’ll talk to many Jehovah’s Witnesses in the past few weeks They always bring up that we have Bible studies and stuff like that because I’m pretty sure that Jehovah’s Witnesses aren’t allowed to actually study the Bible by themselves it has to be in a group Which is what I’ve heard from an ex Jehovah’s Witness.
