So this is part 2 of 3 for the generator i am doing it in different parts ecause i am making the videos as i build it and it saves making one raather long video on the whole setup

I've got a backup generator .
I live in a village so we do have the the odd power cut . Last one week ago
I love seeing my property running normally ie lights tv heating.
when everyone around me is in total darkness .last power cut lasted 3 hours .
But the one before was a week .
Was always told by my late mum and dad be prepared .

Cover the inside of the housing with Rockwool, it’ll soak up a lot of the noise.

Why do are all these generators called ‘silent’ yet they couldn’t be louder?

I am considering buying the same Generator for domestic backup. I'm impressed with your set-up although my needs are nowhere near as complicated as yours. I really appreciate the insight you have given. My one disappointment is the noise level. It doesn't come across as very silenced.

98db = SILENT MAYBE YOU NEED A COUPLE OF SILENCERS Pointing it at the ground makes it LESS QUIET ..EH WHAT SPEAK UP LAD IM BLOODY DEAF A 24V71 Detroit makes less noise ... I'd be suprised if that was allowed on an open site without a 20m square area cordoned off due to the racket .. Bloody Hell . At least if you were my neighbour I could test my Banger car engines till the wee hours and you wouldn't hear a thing !!! 😅😂😂😂❤

Now is a 4 years when you install it. Can you make summary? Are you happy with it, will you buy other model now if you have chance? How looks fuel consumption in practice? Faults? Etc...

Get yourself a 22kva with a 4 cylinder engine it will be much quieter than the one you have. They run at about 1500rpm. I think you’ll struggle to run everything off that little 6kva generator.
But good job all the same! Love the aquarium 👍

What fan did you put in it? The setup is brill and looks tidy. I have a Hyundai 6500 petrol invertor generator and this kind of thing is ideal. I am going to use it to back up my house and garden office as thats where the computer is. I will install a channel through the centre of the hut and then bring conduit into that channel from underground and the generator can straddle it. Plus i will install an anchor into the concrete which will then add security to the hut. Interested in the fan though as a lot of ones i keep finding are rather expensive!

Hi Adam, did you need to get a seperate ATS module to fit inside the generator to use the ATS panel?

Hi! Good video mate!...Just bought one exactly the same as a back up for my OFF GRID strawbale round house-which u can see on channel 4 in spring!....QUESTION -I'm having trouble finding an adaptor on e-bay bought a SS coiled 38mm pipe-but doest fit as it seems exactly the same diameter.Generators direct -who I bought mine from, just wanna sell me an exhaust for over £60...taking advantage trying to find another solution.What diameter is it 'exactly' that goes over the you possibly post a link for it? Many thanks.P.S I have a small pond a freind dug out stocked with fish-Crucian Carp, Coy, Bream, Roach, Perch....I can send you a link showing it as taken from the air with my mates drone last summer.
