Making pesto from basil is our favorite thing to do with basil I highly recommend it :D
This is the Pesto recipe we use and it is doubled so you may want to cut it in half but I like this amount.
4 cups densely packed of basil we used 6 loosely packed
6 tablespoons of pine nuts
6 garlic cloves
4 tablespoons of lemons juice
6-8 tablespoons of nutritional yeast we used 8
1/2 teaspoon of salt
4-6 tablespoons of olive oil we used 4
6-12 tablespoons of water we used 6

The leaves we used in our salad were from our hydroponic brussels sprout, arugula, red acre cabbage, and gourmet lettuce. We defoliated leaves that weren't getting good light and made a few top cuts. We harvest them frequently and there is always more than enough salad :D

Can’t believe the time you’re getting on basil. Do you find you have to increase feed and nutrients as it gets older?
