I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A WORKSHOP LIKE THAT

I'd love a full-length video of you guys all trying out different kinds of experimental patterns and processes. Who knows, could stumble onto something that'll give you an idea for that million dollar sword you're going to make one day.

Love the experiment, it shows creativity and high level of skill in his craftsmanship. I got to say I was a little disappointed with the result though. I thought the pattern was gonna come out a lot different. Keep trying cool things.😊

You don't use flux much? Is it not needed for some types of forge welding?

Come on man! You gotta show the final product. From what I saw, it came out awesome

I used both with great success, i myself never have had an issue BUT my hunting buddy 5-6:years ago was using popular expandable, shot a nice 9 point dropped 30 yrds.. next season same batch of 3 broadheads from previious year.. he drilled a nice 8 point, 4 sure was gonna go down but nope never found him.. long story short the dew and moisture from previous use and time equal rust.. he never checked or serviced those broadheads in the quiver and they rusted closed and refused to open. One blade out of 6 opened. 2 triple blade heads and a single cutter opened. They were NAME brand but thats not on them. Moral of the story in take sometime and go thru your gear/equipment cause its easy to overlook something. Stay safe out there this year. Good luck

Why don't you really use Flux anymore? What do you use instead?

Crazy isn't that pattern weld steel ends up with a pattern in it related to the way it is folded

Should see how many times you can fold the steel like the Japanese used to do!

That pattern looks like the cover of Pink Floyd`s "Meddle" album....

Pattern welding in Damascus are two different things

That's pattern welding. NOT Damascus. It's nice looking, and takes a lot of skill, don't get me wrong, but it isn't Damascus.

Nice work, now try making real damascus, melt some iron, add carbon, glass, etc. Resulting into a Sandy/grainy patterns. Amazing pieces, but not a single damascus ever.
