Nowadays, Toyota quality is going down the toilet. Alongside all other manufacturing brands. But I would say Toyota quality has dropped the most. If you pop the hood on one of these 4Bangers, you will see a rats nest, why is it so hard to put an engine cover... Also like you said, I found some brackets on Ebay I could use on our 3rd gen. I don't prefer Ebay as much as brand new parts because they are used and who knows what the owners have done with them. We are planning to keep the 3rd gen because newer vehicles just aren't as reliable. 28 years and all thats been done is a engine seal replacement, diff seals, transmission replacement, thats basically it. (I think the transmission was a defect because it went out at only 10 years old)

Another think Toyota cheaped out on was the whole car just throw it away, drop a 3.5 V6 engine and a 6 speed transmission and better interior quality. Toyota has become garbage 🗑️

My last fit amber/white switch back turn signal lights on my 4Runner only lasted 5 months (passenger side bulb went out). They were installed correctly and worked great until then. I have purchased new one but I’m still disappointed in the uber short lifespan of the first set. Hopefully the new set last longer. but I am very disappointed so far because of it.
